Kanata Carpet Pros was founded in 2010 by a small team of installers who grew up in Ottawa and saw a gap in the local market: homeowners deserved a carpet company that showed up on time, quoted honestly, and treated their homes with respect. 15+ yrs and 500+ Kanata homes later, that's still exactly what we do.
We're not a franchise and we don't outsource to subcontractors. Every job is handled by our own in-house crew, many of whom have been with us for a decade or more. That continuity is why our installs are clean, our seams are tight, and our customers keep referring neighbours. In September 2026 an announcement marking our sixteenth year was carried by a run of newspapers and trade titles; the list, and what a newswire pickup is actually worth, is on our media page.

Who actually turns up at your door
Mark Lavoie owns the business and still leads installs, which is why the person who measures your room is usually the person who lays it. The crew is four people, all on payroll, all local. There is no dispatch centre and no rotating roster of sub-contracted fitters, so the standard on a Tuesday in Bridlewood is the same as the standard on a Saturday in Almonte.
Practically, that means you get one phone number, one written price, and one crew who will still be reachable in two years when you want the basement done. It also means we turn work away when the calendar is genuinely full rather than handing your house to someone we have never worked with.
