1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Kanata Carpet Pros website (https://kanatacarpetpros.ca) and the services we provide. By requesting a quote, scheduling a service, or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you have questions, contact us at hello@kanatacarpetpros.ca.

2. Services

Kanata Carpet Pros provides residential and commercial carpet installation, replacement, and repair services in Kanata, Stittsville, Barrhaven, Nepean, Bells Corners, and surrounding areas of Ottawa West, Ontario, Canada.

All services are subject to a written quote issued prior to work commencing. Work will not begin until you have reviewed and approved your quote.

3. Quotes

Quotes are provided free of charge with no obligation.
Quoted prices are fixed and will not change unless you request changes to scope (e.g., additional rooms, upgraded materials).
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Material pricing is subject to supplier availability; we will notify you of any material unavailability before accepting your booking.

4. Deposits & Payment

A deposit of 20% of the quoted total is required to reserve your installation date and order materials.
The remaining balance is due after installation is complete and you have approved the work.
We accept e-transfer, credit card, and cheque.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your booking at any time before materials have been cut or ordered. Your deposit will be refunded in full.
If materials have already been ordered or cut to your specifications, the cost of those materials may be deducted from your refund.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, supply issues). In such cases, your deposit is fully refundable.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Access to the installation area must be available at the agreed appointment time. Failure to provide access may result in a rescheduling fee.
Any items flagged during measurement (piano, gun safe, aquarium, etc.) that require special handling must be arranged by you prior to installation.
Existing subfloor defects (water damage, rot, significant unevenness) that are discovered during installation may require additional work quoted separately.

7. Manufacturer Warranties

Carpet products installed by Kanata Carpet Pros carry manufacturer warranties as specified by each product's documentation. Warranty coverage varies by product and manufacturer. We will provide you with warranty documentation for the specific product installed in your home.

Manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused by improper maintenance, flooding, pet damage, or misuse. Please refer to each manufacturer's warranty terms for full details.

8. Limitation of Liability

Kanata Carpet Pros's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We carry full general liability insurance. Our Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
